BRIEF:
? The successful candidate will be confident, experienced and organised Art Director/Designer who is ferociously passionate about data driven marketing.
? The candidate will work in a creative partnership with a writer/copy-writer who originates and produces thumb-stopping content that the target audiences are interested in, responding to new trends and exciting potential customers with dynamic content.
? Working closely with the other core members of this unit, the Creative team will respond to social listening, keyword search, trends and data identified by the unit with a range of content output specific to each platform, and create appropriate content that delivers to the Brand objectives and Media plan.
? The role will be based in Shanghai, China.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
? Responsible for continuous production of story driven creative that meets brand objectives, as the designer in a creative partnership.
? Originate creative campaigns in creative partnerships, developing and researching accurate, high-quality, compelling images/concepts about beauty and brands with speed, following briefs and brand guidelines.
? Develop imagery for Social Ads and Marketing assets for leading beauty and fragrance brands.
? Adhere to brand guidelines, beautifully translating them for digital social assets and toolkits.
? Ensure that the image and design assets generated communicates the brands message through different campaign objectives e.g. brand recall or click through etc.
? Translate existing brand assets into final striking visuals.
? Develop creative image and campaign treatment briefs
? Working from a brief with a copywriter, generating ideas to present to the client
? Working on image concepts to produce an effective marketing campaign
? Commissioning specialists, such as artists and photographers, to work on projects
? Managing projects and working within a budget
? Editing the final results for presentation to the client.
? Support campaigns through to live, ensuring the brand vision and campaign message is met and visual standards upheld.
? Collaborate with the rest of the combined Beamly Team
? Pitch potential campaign concepts stories, features and interactive concepts both at regular editorial meetings and on an ad hoc basis throughout the day/week.
? Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including photographers, studios, models and experts as well as peers and more senior internal stakeholders.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
? 5+ years previous experience in a design agency, marketing agency or design technology organisation
? Have a strong understanding of designing within the parameters of clients’ brands.
? Have experience of working in the Beauty/Fragrance sector
? Portfolio of work demonstrating the creation of beautiful visuals delighting a digital audience.
? Ability to understand brand and industry knowledge, market awareness and strategic business goals to campaign creation
? Obsessive knowledge of the ins and outs of beauty & celebrity culture and advertising campaigns in the beauty arena and passion for following these in real time
? Total fluency with current and emerging beauty trends
? Expertise in creative and design tools (Adobe creative cloud, Sketch and Invision)
? Multimedia skills an advantage (e.g. stills photograph, video shooting & editing)
? Passionate about new ways of creating stories through image and learning / experimenting with new tools
? An obsession with tracking which parts of your output have succeeded (or failed) with your audience - and spreading learnings to the rest of the team.
? Ability to work in an self-directed way in an unstructured, fast-changing environment
? Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress
? Excellent English communication skills, effective relationship building skills with internal and external partners
? Media Agency or similar experience
? Bachelor’s degree or above
