HR mission / Summary
Lead the HR functions of all EtonHouse China Schools to make EtonHouse the most desired employer in the education sector in China.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic planning & leadership
Provide effective leadership to the HR team to achieve the HR mission
Develop a deep understanding of the Education sector, the EtonHouse operations and curriculum, in order to enable HR to meet the needs of our schools
Operational Management
Partner with Management and Principals to strengthen HR practices and procedures in China schools, hndling full spectrum of HR through a consultative approach
Timely and cost effective recruitment of all positions to meet the manpower needs of China schools.
Development of retention, performance assessment and rewards strategies
Oversee and coordinate the performance appraisal process
Manage compensation and benefits including staff costs, insurance, housing and related benefits
Champion and execute long and short term HR initiatives and programmes including:
Building employer branding
Enhancing employee engagement
Review and improve HR policies, practices, strategies and programmes
Compliance & standards
Compliance with labour laws in China
Supervise the payroll function and ensure that internal controls are in place to comply with government legislations in China
Any other duties as assigned by the board of directors

The EtonHouse International Education Group was founded in 1995 in Singapore. In 18 years, EtonHouse has expanded to 70 international schools and pre-schools across Singapore, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Malaysia,etc. Together, these schools provide quality international education to over 6000 children from 61 nationalities.
The curriculum follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy of Inquiry-based learning. For the early years programme ( Nursery to Kindergarten), a child-responsive, play-based, “Inquire ·Think·Learn” pedagogy is followed. The early childhood curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
