Objective of Job
The Vehicle PD Purchasing specialist is responsible for supporting the Program Manager in all aspects of PD, including reporting on the sourcing on-time performance of the project, maintaining the cost book, supporting the vehicle Program Management Team and the JV New Model Meetings, and communicating with APAC buyers and cross functional team members in VCE, PE, and SCM when required.

Brief Task Description
* Playing a major role in ensuring that Purchasing meets the Product Development Plan objectives, including managing the plan to ensure the vehicle achieves its cost, timing, and quality objectives.
* Monitor and manage sourcing activity to ensure the project launches on time.
* Support cost engineering during target setting and cost analysis.
* Act as the window of APAC purchasing with the Joint Venture, and to coordinate the sourcing activity in Joint Venture.
* Work with global counterparts to improve and maintain the global sourcing process.
* Minimal travel required within country, typically to meetings with the JV.

Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering
* Working Experience: 5 years industry experience in technical or purchasing role, familiar with sourcing procedures and procurement methods of vehicle systems.
* Skillful at written and oral expression in English
* Demonstrate independent problem solving skill and good command of project management, structural and logical thinking.
* Excellent skillful at using MS Excel
