Objective of Job
Leading engineering team for gasoline NA Current Production Engine, Managing quality improvement and Cost Reduction activities, as well current production topics.

Brief Task Description
1) Responsible for engine technical requirements definition in terms of:
a) Durability
b) Reliability
c) Emission
d) Application definition
e) Cost reduction & localization
2) Guarantee development systems/components of the engine according to objectives in terms of:
a) Quality
b) Time
c) Budge
d) Ensure compliance with technical requirements
3) Coordination and management of engineering team (Design, Application, Control, Testing), in order to reach project targets.
4) Promote and applies, together with Product Portfolio Management, analysis and benchmarking of competitors with the aim of addressing the product refinement (i.e. fuel consumption, NVH, low-end torque)
5) Responsible for engineering support on engine maintenance/VAVE in terms of:
a) Risk assessment for Non-conformity components
b) Define validation plan for the cost reduction activities
c) Risk assessment and define validation plan for the supplier process change
d) Issue identification, management and resolution for quality issue. Identify containment criteria, sorting/inspection criteria, and short-term and permanent corrective Actions
6) Product Engineering representative in the platform team, to assess and confirm any kind of technical change request. And supporting new business case study as vehicle team request.
7) Support quality improvement activity

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor or Master Degree in automotive engineering / on the internal combustion engine is a plus

Experience: At least 7 years work experience in a large multinational companies related to gasoline engine engineering and project management

Skills & Competence:
1. Has the background of design, testing and application is considered a plus
2. Project management know-how and cross functional team management capabilities
3. Ability to work under minimal direction and work as part of a multi-national (China/India/ Italy /Brazil and USA)
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Chinese and English
5. Can work under pressure and willing to grow 6. Proficiency with MS Office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
7. Proactive, high Energy, high visibility, individual initiative, leadership attitude
8. Self-going attitude with good inter personal skills and high spirit of teamwork
