职位描述：

Senior NPI/ Manufacturing Engineer: Develops and improves manufacturing NPI processes and product quality by studying new product designs. Brings new HW designs to market with High quality and high volume.

NPI/ Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities:

· Is involved with the early design process for new product.

· Identifies new processes and equipment required for successful introduction of new products into the Fitbit manufacturing and supplier base.

· Expert mechanical fabrication understanding of plastic and metal components required.

· Develops manufacturing processes by identifying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

· Has background in the Dfx process to improve product design and process.

· Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, production capacity and equipment layout.

· Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

· Proposes and manages DOE ( Design of Experiment) to develop and verify product improvements.

· Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes, implementing and initiating change control processes..

· Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

· Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

· Has strong leadership skills to involve other groups in the company and champion new ideas such as automation, new manufacturing concepts, and advanced methods to build quality product at high volumes.

· Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. Presents information to cross functional team when required.

· Completes design and development projects by training and guiding production staff.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Supports Fitbit's Asian contract manufacturers and suppliers for successful NPI programs

Requirements:

· 12-15 years of experience working in high volume Consumer Device or Medical Device Manufacturing

· Chinese language skills required

· Ability to communicate both verbally and written Chinese

· BSEE/BSME Degree or Equivalent Experience

· Experience with contract manufacturing

· Strong process knowledge and skills

· Experience with DOE (Design of Experiment)

· Experience dealing with small complex products and manufacturing processes

· Experience with manufacturing methods and procedures, Quality, Component Engineering, Product Development, presenting of technical Information, CAD/CAM Circuit Design.

· 25% Travel Required, travel in China with the possibility of International travel.

· Ability to drive

· Able to work effectively independently with little direction
