Role Statement:
The IND (Industrial) Distributor Sales engineer is the Industrial interface with distributor/end cusotmer, own industrial BU’s end customer under distributor.
The IND Distributor Sales engineer will be responsible for IND revenue growth in end customers side, to promote IND core product to the market and expand the market share.
The IND Distributor Sales engineer is expected to provide full customer support in all technical-related topics in connection with TE products including: customer needs identification and solution proposals; customer opportunities; technical advice and consultancy. The FE is responsible for identifying the needs of the customer and, together with the customer, finding appropriate solutions (using either known or new technologies) for customer applications.
The IND Distributor Sales engineer need manage the IND business from the corresponding key customer and distributors, also need have the ability to develop new distributor to grow IND business under TE distributor development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify sales and business opportunities with customers within the region (geographic or industry)
- Grow the revenue and TE connectivity market share via our distributor branch network.
- Provide high quality customer support, consulting services and advice on all technical-related topics concerning TE products to end customer.
- Assess technical complaints from customers and problem solve solutions to these issues.
- Understand the customer, the market, competition, technology roadmaps and trends and apply this knowledge to customer solutions.
- Organize and manage regular customer visits, calls and presentations and Tech Day to xxx.
- Provide inputs from customer evaluations and discussions to quality teams to solve quality-related issues with TE products.
- Manage key customers by acct plan methodology (TAM/SAM analysis, Customer organization analysis, Strategy and initiatives, Key Opportunity/Key project, Competitor analysis etc)
- Achieve regional/country/territory/branch POS target
- Manage branch execution of distributor corporate plans for IND BU
        - Prioritize based on market relevance
        - Align priorities and local business plans with the distributor Sales Managers and General Managers
        - Manage industrial market business reviews, driving accountability
- Competitive Analysis
- Market TAM/DTAMs.
- Competitor's go to market strategies and resources
- Enable/Engage to branch level distributor and coach to distributor

Key Performance Indicators:
- $ value of Project Pipeline (sales and engineering projects)
- New Product Stream
- Customer satisfaction – (NPS) technical contacts
- Technical day organization
- $ Booking & billing target
- New electrical distributor development and management

Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge:
- University engineering degree (Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering preferred)
- Professional level engineering experience.
- Business acumen.
- A broad and deep knowledge of TE technologies and product portfolio and the markets they serve.
- Knowledge of Electronic market experience in solution and components
- Fully acquainted with computers and common software. Fully acquainted with the computer and common application software
- Creative, analytical and structured thinking with the ability to execute on priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organizational functions (inside and outside of TE) .
- Strong project management skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Global communication.
- Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets.
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate in English
- Flexibility in working days and travelling
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in process management
- Develop credibility & trust resulting in customer “buy in”
