BASIC FUNCTION

Planning, developing, implementing Automated Test Systems for infotainment systems, audio amplifiers, radios, and associated components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Analyze and derive test requirements, test specification

a. Based on product specifications, the test requirements are analyzed and the components/the systems to be tested are derived.

b. Be involved in the early product development stages in order to ensure test feasibility(DFT).

c. Work with Hardware and Software Design Teams to develop a test specification.

2. Define test strategy

a. Plan tests, taking into account commercial considerations.

b. Define measurement points and test conditions.

c. Select test methods.

3. Design Test Systems

a. Design the core test technology, hardware and software tools to be integerated into test system.

b. Evaluate and select test system suppliers.

c. Work with suppliers to design the systems in a cost effective manner.

d. Work with suppliers throughout development to ensure schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.

e. Document the final system.

4. Launch

a. Conduct detailed test programming using appropriate script languages.

b. Test and optimize all hardware and programs prior to launch.

c. Monitor implementation during launch using statistical techniques in order to ensure that a capable process is handed over to production.

5. Facilitate knowledge transfer about all aspects of test system to local factory engineers and technicians.

OTHER DUTIES

Completes other related duties as assigned by the manager.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year University.

Required Experience:

1. Five or more years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Experience in launching new products, be familiar with new project development procedure.

3. Advanced level on test develop related tools (LabView/CVI,TestStand, C#...).

4. Experience in developing test specification, test solution, test requirements.

5. Familiar with DFT/DFM is preferred.

6. Experience with embedded SW, different microcontroller platforms (Freescale, Renesas...) and buses (CAN, LIN, MOST...), experience with FPGA/CPLD design is preferred.

7. Ability to solve complex problems involved in multiple projects.

8. Skilled in English written and oral communications, and team work.
