Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of approx 4 mold design engineers, 4 assembly/conditioning technicians and 10 plus technicians in tool shop, and manage daily resource and work load for engineering effectiveness and efficiency
• Serve a mentor and role model for the team
• Initiate and optimize mold design/tool fabrication/assembly & conditioning standard and procedure thru SOP to meet program requirements
• Set strategies, goals and target for the group and lead capability development activity
• Proactively interface with mold design/development functions in other regions and cross-functional teams to enhance communication and management
• Lead and resolve technical and engineering issues, shorten time from mold concept design to mold release; improve quality and reduce mold cost to meet program target

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or equivalent
• Over 10 years experience in injection mold design
• Has work experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier is preferred
• Certified PMP and/or certified Six Sigma Black Belt are plus
• Familiar with mold fabrication process, including machining, EDM, heat treatment and surface treatment
• Familiar with mold assembly and conditioning process
• Familiar with plastic characteristic, molding machine
• Skilled in Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Skilled in measurement method and inspection machines (OGP, CMM)
• Skilled in technical document initiation (FS, FMEA, CP, WI)
• Familiar with TS16949 and ISO9001
• Proficient in English both oral and written
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Open-minded, Stress resistant & Time management abilities
• Strong in execution and program/people management skills
