Mechanical Design Engineer

(Location: Suzhou)

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast pace and global team, broadly involve designing, developing, testing and prototyping mechanical mechanisms and equipment. The position is ideally suited for a motivated individual who is energetic, willing to learn and build up competencies of mechanical engineering. You will need to work closely with other professionals, including electronics engineers, testing engineers, sourcing engineers and manufacturing engineers, as well as suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop mechanical subsystems or parts for pedestrian door solutions to meet market needs, applicable regulatory and industry standards, independently or under limited supervision

2. Deliver required project deliverables on schedule and ensure mechanical designs are cost efficient, reliable, robust, safe, easy to assemble and manufacture, compliance with ASSA ABLOY standards

3. Hands-on support prototype assembly and testing

4. Follow company product development processes and contribute to its continuous improvements

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university

2. 3 years mechanical product development experience

3. Experience of designing mechanism and transmission systems is preferable

4. Essential knowledge of manufacturing processes or materials

5. Proficient in mechanical design software, such as Pro-E, Solidworks

6. Good command of spoken and written English

7. Willingness to learn and Can-Do attitude
