Basic function :

Planning, developing, and implementing production processes for manufacturing and for manual or automated and semi-automated mechanical assembly.

Responsibility :

1. DFM Review :
Implement new and existing production processes into a high volume production environment

a) Track and analyze new and existing production processes in order to determine technical and commercial feasibility at concept design stage

b) Introduce new production processes into large-scale production, considering new technologies and materials. Include research results in collaboration with internal and external research centers at EV and DV Stage .

c) Design and mangage operational and bench tests in order to optimize new production processes

d) Perform cost comparisons of new processes, taking into account future requirements, strategic business objectives, technological developments, technical options, production capacity issues, and other organizational conditions. Collaborate with production planning.

e) Develop and gain team agreement for launch schedules and workflows. Monitor the introduction of new processes.

2. New equipment and new assembly process development :
Design and manage the fabrication of assembly fixturing

a) Work with OEM vendors for develop new process assembly fixture for launch new production at EV and DV stage .

b) Work with external vendors for develop new equipment at EV and DV stage .

c) Look for opportunity Use necessary sensing and automation integration techniques to develop and implement manufacturing assembly fixtures that ensure a mistake proof process at a cost effective price.

3. Develop and Manage relationships with supplier development team and external vendors

a) Locate and work with supplier development teams to evaluate potential new vendors for develop advance technology .

b) Ensure that vendors are awarded work that they are fully capable of performing. Develop vendors with strong potential by awarding challenging projects to them.

c) Work with vendors on various projects, ensuring good communication, and meeting cost, schedule, and quality targets on all projects.

4. Manage the creation and maintenance of Process Specifications, Hardware Specifications, and Best Practices

a) Work with team members in china and North America to standardize production processes across the organization.

b) Work with team members in china and North America to develop and implement best practices in production that result in the best possible quality level while managing costs.

5. Material qualifications

a) Work with internal and external team members to select and qualify new materials for production processes (e.g., solders, glues, etc)

6. Participate in product launch efforts(NPI)

a) Participate in developing APQP documentation (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Visual Aids, etc.)

b) Participate in the development and assessment of quality requirements for pilot builds and qualification builds at EV and DV stage .

7. Facilitate knowledge transfer about all aspects of production processes to OEM Vendor engineers and technicians.

Completes other related duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year University

Required Experience:

1. 5~6 years experience of manual or automatic or semi-automatic manufacturing assembly process.

2. Experience with Gluing process, ether Acrylic, Water-based, CA, PUR, UV glues.

3. Experience in launching new products, be familiar with new project development procedure,(ex:DFM ,EV ,DV ….)

4. Experience in DOE and variou advance process develop experiment .

5. Experience in designing or managing new equipment development.

6. Knoledge in various sensors, electrical and pneumatic components

7. Autocad/Pro E/ Solid Works((any in List) mechanical drawing system

Desired Experience:

8. Work experience in consumer or lifestyle production company will be preferred.

9. Mitsubishi PLC experience Preferred and a Plus.

10. Keyence Cognex Vision Systems, Robotics Experience Preferred a Plus.

11. Experience in audio system spearker manufacturing process will be preferred.

12. Understand and create detailed electrical, pneumatic and mechanical schematics

13. Experience on process improvement using quality tools such as 6sigma. GB, BB will be preferred.
