Job Summary
The Sales Manager-Ecommerce will be responsible for developing new online retail customers/channels for selling GPN key brands in China.

The role will require the ability to develop business opportunities for retailing in online stores and other online locations including but not limited to T-mall, T-mall Intl. and JD in order to drive brand awareness and acquiring first hand consumer insights.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, this role will be a sales and business development professional who will be able to identify and assess the right opportunities in expanding GPN brands’ footprint, store format whilst optimizing assortment and stock plan, and maximizing overall profitability.

Responsibilities
Business Development
     -Responsibility for identifying and assess new online retail platforms and opportunities
     -Propose and develop retailing solutions to maximize marketing and sales performance
     -Assess the right opportunities in expanding GPN brands’ footprint and store format for optimized growth and sales.

Retail Development & Management
     -Work with marketing team to develop and execute retail format, fit with overall commercial strategy
     -Drive execution of retail commercial activity to assure consistence and harmonization with wholesale channel, mainly including assortment, pricing, and consumer promotion
     -Develop own retail management approach and practices to drive retail performance, i.e. productivities etc.
     -Identify new ideas and practices to increase site traffic, thereby increasing the potential opportunity for increased product sales.

Develop Partnership in Providing Customer Service
     -Identify strategic partner for supporting GPN China in developing retail business
     -Develop relationships with key partners in assuring service, customer satisfaction, quality and excellence
     -Understand, identify and support development of systems improvement, thereby improving the customer experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
     -Experience in developing and executing retail programs – online preferred
     -Skills in driving business development and category penetration
     -Excellent communication skills and strong customer-service attitude
     -Initiative, accountability, cooperative and efficient
     -Good understanding of sales metrics and consumer insights
     -Strong ability to negotiate and influence and deliver outcomes
     -Passion for fitness and nutrition essential
     -Persistence and resilience in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take new challenges and resolve issues
     -Integrity, positive attitude, willing and quick to learn
     -Ability to work with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment
     -Native Chinese with good command of written and spoken English
     -Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, preferably familiar with SAP

Education/Experience
     -Bachelor Degree or higher
     -4-6 years working experience in business and/or sales
     -Around 3 years online retail experience specializing in consumer goods in China
     -Strong sales and business development background
     -Experience in developing and executing retail programs – online preferred


Desirable (Preferred)
     -Experience of working in a start-up/medium sized company
     -Knowledge of the health or nutrition products
     -Interest in sport or health and fitness
     -MBA or further study
     -Travel is required for this role
     -Comfortable with handling challenges, uncertainties and ambiguities
