Sr. Product Development Engineer (Cable Assembly)

Location – Dongguan
Overview
This role is to be responsible for cable assembly design, especially for high speed cable assembly. Act as product designer to deliver new products following company's technology roadmap, including but not limited VOC understanding, concept design and validation, design fix, production qualification and so on.
Responsibilities
1. Be responsible for new project development for cable assembly following TE NPD procedure
2. To evaluate feasibility of requirement from customer side
3. To create and validate concept design based on customer requirements and/or industry spec
4. Work closely with related development team to move new projects to mass production
5. Innovation for cable assembly design and manufacturing
6. Continuous improvement for product design both quality and cost
7. Assist to resolve problems which are in mass production
Qualifications
1. B.S. degree or above majored in mechanical engineering or related
2. At least 5 years working experience in electrical connector or cable assembly design, high speed cable assembly design experience is preferred.
3. Good knowledge on connector design or cable assembly development
4. Familiar with connector manufacturing process, such as stamping, molding, die casting, plating and assembly. Cable assembly process is plus.
5. English skill in reading and writing. Oral is preferred
6. Proficient in using Pro-E and AutoCAD , or equivalent
7. Good communication and presentation skills.
8. Familiar with Basic skill of quality control
