MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Material Manager should plan, direct, monitor and coordinate the supply chain management activities to achieve business goals, the position covers the function of purchasing, materials planning & production planning, import and export, warehouse management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Providing leadership and direction to the organization on matters pertaining to purchasing, inventory, and material flow

2. Monitor purchasing projects and evaluate supplier market research; manage/evaluate vendors; guide to negotiate prices; improve capacity/ productivity and perform cost down at vendors.

3. Collaborate with other depts to develop, implement, and maintain strategies for sourcing and supplier management practices.

4. Ensure Material Readiness to support production.

5. Ensure timely receipts and delivery of materials/products at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards to meet Customer OTD.

6. To co-ordinate internal processes related to materials flow, to monitor and manage stock control and to maintain systems and procedures in line with company Quality Management System (QMS).

7. Ensure compliance to Local Government Custom & Regulatory requirement.

8. Leading the Materials organization in attaining key metrics: On Time Delivery, cycle count accuracy, inventory accuracy etc.

9. Provide leadership on team management and people development.

10. Other jobs assigned by superior.

COMPENTENCE REQUIREMENT

1. Bachelor Degree or above.

2. Have rich knowledge of supply chain management.

3. Strong MRP system knowledge.

4. Excellent leadership & management; Ability to present, organize, and resolve problems or issues within the team.

5. Good communication, price negotiation, contract generation, planning, organizing and coordination skills.

DESIRED PROFILE

Experience:

At least 10 years in supply chain filed and 5 years of leader experience in manufacturing plant

Other (language, computer skills,):

Good communication in written and oral English
