Main responsibilities:

? Service all computer users in Chongqing site to trouble shoot and solve computer software and hardware issues
? Training users and improve their computer skills
? Provide IT services for remote sites, home based users and other IT global engineers
? Be responsible for PC Hardware maintenance and upgrading, including hardware trouble shooting, communication with vendors, update records and documentation.
? Be responsible for IT Fixed Asset management and documentation.
? Be responsible for software maintenance and upgrading, including PC OS installation and upgrading, application software package installation and configuration; computer users supporting, etc. Would be advantageous if included knowledge of Automatic Deployment Methods for OS and Applications.
? Be responsible for security, including virus software installation / upgrade, Microsoft Windows Updates, Software patching and any other maintenance in client PCs, training users, dealing with urgent virus issues and updating the management console.
? Be responsible for network printing support, including general printer maintenance, communication with printer outsourcing vendor; report the printers status, evaluate the outsourcing vendor, etc
? Be responsible for integrated cabling system, including cabling system problems checking and maintenance, report the status to IT engineers and update documents.

Additional:
? Be responsible for system and data security, including computer Room security and update, data backup and restore, etc.
? Be involved for installing, setting and configuring servers and other devices (like UPS, backup equipment)
? Be responsible for robust data communication, especially WAN connection.

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

? Degree in Computer Science or related subject (mandatory)
? Good knowledge of computers and computer networks
? Knowledge and understanding of MS Active Directory 2003 or later.
? Capability to diagnose and troubleshoot network (LAN or WAN or VPN) issues
? Knowledge on structured cabling standards(voice and data)
? Familiarity with computer structure and networking
? Ability to analyse and trouble shoot PCs & Printers issues
? Excellent communication skills
? Familiarity and understanding of Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008, XP, Vista and Windows 7, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Lotus Notes
? Moodle experience would also be advantageous
? Responsible, serious, honest and excellent service concept
? Basic English skills, written and Oral (For none native English-speaking sites)
? Proficiency in Cisco network equipment, like router and switch (Desirable)
? Proficiency in system backup/restore and backup devices (Desirable)
? Industry standard Qualifications such as MCP (Desirable)
