POSITION SUMMARY:

In accordance with corporate and group policies and procedures, and under direction of the regional vice president of procurement, the employee shall lead the process for both the planning and procurement of all 3rd party indirect materials required to support our 125 field offices across APAC. This position is responsible for an annual spend exceeding $100 million USD from a supply base of over 10,000 suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, align, and implement several different supply chain strategies to deliver the most cost-effective methods for our field offices to procure Indirect Materials from suppliers to execute the solutions we promise our customers. A key deliverable of this role is to ensure our field offices are efficiently executing our supply chain strategies allowing our extended field procurement team to influence a greater percentage of spend to increase year of year savings.

1. Matrixed reporting relationship with both the APAC vice president of Procurement and the VP Procurement, Asia Pacific, Corp Procurement Management.

2. Meet or exceed profit plan goals related to: Cost Savings, TWC, quality, supplier rationalization, and other agreed objectives

3. Ensure alignment between our category management team and the unique/specific needs of our field offices during category strategy development.

4. Own implementation of category strategies and associated actions to achieve cost reduction goals, including PO-to-PO (Purchasing Order) reductions and rebates

5. Launch, enhance, and improve our Solution Center offering across all field offices in APAC (BT&S)

6. Collaborate with the field offices to identify and bring forward new/critical products and services to expand the line card product of field offerings.

7. Support all regional procurement managers and Solution Center team members.

8. Control and improve the traceability and transparency of purchasing related savings

9. Support efforts concerning supply base rationalization and supplier development

10. Guarantee compliance with BOS procedures and DoA requirements

11. Develop and report business metrics that measure the performance according to business objectives.

12. Perform other duties as assigned by the vice president of procurement.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:

Manage P2P sourcing activities to support demand requirements from field service offices



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. 2-3 years of procurement experience with a focus on construction and/or HVAC equipment and service. Candidate with Mechanical Engineering and/or business background are also considered. Experience in cost analysis and strong financial knowledge preferred. Good PC / software knowledge/skills.

Candidate should have the ability to cooperate with people of varying levels both inside/outside the organization and interacts with the team to establish and achieve team goals and objectives

LEADERSHIP

Candidate should have the ability grow into a Managerial position and beyond.

COMMUNICATION

Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to express information/ideas in a professional manner to varying levels of people and customers. Strong English skills required. Multi language capabilities preferred.
