Education Market Sales Manager

We are currently launching the Steelcase initiative to drive growth in the education market in China and are looking for sales leadership to join us in this effort.

The objective of the sales team is to develop relationships in education related organizations including primary, secondary and tertiary schools, from ages ten and up, with the prime aim focused on high schools and colleges. We are looking for people that have a passion for education and design. And the primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Maintain and develop customers in the education vertical market (primary, secondary and tertiary).
  • Drive sales by creating a broad range customer experiences designed to improve our win rate, and accelerate the trial and large-scale adoption of our active learning solutions.
  • Develop experiences and workshops that bring our insights to life while creating a memorable and differentiated experience for customers as well as Architecture and Design professionals.
  • Nurture customer touch points throughout the entire sales process including post installation.
  • Leverage resources from the Steelcase global network (Workspace Futures, Brand Communications, WT+R, etc) to create relevant and impactful content.
  • Meet directly with all stakeholders to lead these experiences and model best practices for our sales team.
  • Ensure that our product and service offering is current and relevant to the target markets.
  • Work with Steelcase Education leadership to measure the impact on these customer experiences on sales growth.

The only requirements for this job are a passion for education and a good sense of humor. Existing relationships with the education market targets would be helpful but are not necessary to excel.
