Job Description
Essential Duties
Planning
Provides input to and participates in the design of company group mid-term strategies in relation to regional retail development
Develops with Retail Development Senior Manager, Regional Director, ASM a Regional Retail Development Plan which reflects distribution, marketing and geographic strategies
Proactively seek right location of new POS opportunities by building strong real estate network in the region and negotiate with relevant parties
Consistently improving the location and space of existing shops inside department store and shopping mall by building up strong network with management of these channels
Accordingly, coordinates & manages the timely execution of the plan by working closely with regional retail marketing team, sell in team and sell out team.
Regularly updates the regional retail development plan
Management
Manages the yearly &quarterly retail development plan being well implemented
Participates in the strategic management of tier city segmentation
Manages department stores and real estate agency on systematic way
Reports to upper management on market intelligence
Communicates regional POS development to Head of Retail Development on regular basis,
Manages the whole regional retail development team to implement the business plan with high quality
Works closely with regional retail marketing and operation teams to realize the plan on time
Financial
Regional POS opening/upgrade/Closure target
OPEX & CAPEX Management
Own Retail BPM accuracy
Own Retail Trade Term Target
Travel & Entertainment budget control
Systems and Processes
Ensures the activities of POS opening/upgrading/planning to follow the defined company process
Updates the POS information on regular base to Retail Science who is managing POS database
Co-develop and timely modify the retail development process together with Head of Retail Development
People Management
Provides strong leadership for horizontal as well as vertical reports
Is a responsive and reliable point of contact for both horizontal and vertical reports
Sets performance plans and reviews with each direct report regularly
- Plans include goals, key job responsibilities, competency development, measures and follow up activities
- Reviews by actually results versus defined performance KPIs and coach
Provides coaching and feedback to subordinates in daily job
Generates a high level team work spirit inside responsible retail development team
Training
Makes sure all team members be able to well understand their job role and responsibility and provides proper guidance to secure the quality implementation in daily job
Others
Other job-related work assigned from leader
Job Requirements
Above 3 years management experience ( 3 team members at least ) in China Distribution/sales/retail development related environment for multi-national consumer brand or retail company
Strong leadership, persuasiveness and people management skill
Good at team work, demonstrating interest in training, coaching and motivating subordinates
Excellent planning, negotiation and communication skill
Good presentation skill and fluent English speaking and writing
High degree of integrity and loyalty Bachelor Degree Above
Real estate experience is a plus
Bachelor's Degree in retail development and related discipline is preferred
Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
Mandarin Chinese as native language preferred
