Job summary and key objectives
Primary objective of this position is to work as a purchasing team member to purchase the best price-service-quality combined merchandises. Negotiates vendor terms, price and schedule delivery using knowledge of budget and schedule requirements. Ensures that the items and services required are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions.

Role priorities
? Review purchasing requisitions and prioritize purchasing activities according to delivery schedule.
? Execute planned orders and manage appropriate authorization process prior to release of purchase orders.
? Interface with material planning and technical support department to check and clarify specifications for all required purchase parts.
? Conduct price inquiry, price comparison and price negotiation to get cost under control and to reduce purchase cost.
? Prepare and release approved purchasing orders to supplier with supporting document and ensure purchases are made with timely supply and stable quality.
? Track order execution, report and communicate timely any foreseen nonconformities regarding delivery time, specification compliance, supplier change request etc.
? Review, update and maintain purchase orders until they are closed.
? Seek out alternative suppliers or products in consideration of quality, price, delivery time and long-term cooperation.
? Work with Operations together to reduce inventory level, lead time, and freight cost.
? Identify opportunities and implement actions to improve efficiencies.
? Support cost saving and localization activities.
? Advise Purchasing Manager immediately should they be aware of any issues whatsoever in the supply chain.

Education & Work experience
? College degree or above
? Over 2-3 years purchasing experience; experience in manufacturing industry preferred

? Strong cost awareness and business sense
? Basic math skills for analyzing prices and getting the best deals possible
? Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
? A self-starter, who is achievement and results oriented
? English speaking and writing, basic level or above
