职位描述

Main Purpose of Job:
To create conceptual design and produce detailed component and assembly drawings according to customer requirements and industrial standards, to run DFMA analysis and identify cost effective design solution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. To participate in sales meetings with customers and recommend engineering solutions for there

2. To create conceptual drawings and preliminary Bills of Materials (BOM’s) for new design project for Sales team to allow them to prepare quotations for customers.

3 To produce preliminary Bills of Materials (BOM’s) for products that can be used at the quotation and purchasing stages.

4 To produce detailed drawings, in electronic format, for components manufacture and assembly.

5 To ensure all component manufacturing and assembly designs are produced making the best use of design for manufacture, design for assembly.

6 To liaise with customers, suppliers and related TT personnel to resolve any design, production or supply issues that may occur during the design or production phase of a products life.



Qualifications:
1. Education/Experience/Credentials
2. Bachelor degree, Major in Mechanical Engineering or relevant

3. More than 5 years experience on mechanical design.

4. Ability to use Pro/Engineering, Solid works or Inventor to produce models and component manufacturing drawings.

5. Good understanding of materials their, properties and application, i.e. aluminium alloys, stainless steel, mild steel and coated steels, plastics, non ferrous metals, etc.

6. Broad understanding of fastenings and material joining methods, i.e. welding, adhesives, riveting, threaded inserts, screws, etc.

7. Understanding of current component manufacturing processes, i.e. extrusions, plastic and aluminium, sheet metal processing methods, injection moulding, die casting, milling, turning, etc.

8. Experience of specifying finishes for material, both cosmetic and environmental, i.e. chromate finishes, anodising, painting etc.

9. Understanding of thermal management within sub racks and cabinets.

10. Knowledge of EMC requirements and standards. Also EMC shielding solutions including seals, assembly techniques, construction material selection, etc is preferred.
11. Language Ability
Good English in reading and writing, preferable good speaking English.
12. Computer Skills
Proficient in PowerPoint and Project is preferred.
