Systems (OMP/APO/SAP) Specialist-Supply Chain Excellence

We currently have an opening for a Systems (OMP/APO/SAP) Specialist in China at either our Suzhou or Shanghai sites. If you are the best of the best and willing to help others achieve their high potential-this may be the role for you.
This position will be a key member of the Supply Chain Center of Excellence Leadership Team and reports to the Center of Excellence Director.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

The Systems Specialist will drive towards achieving world class Supply Chain performance in the areas of service, responsiveness and cost effectiveness.
? End User System Support in supply chain planning to ensure world class Supply Chain performance. Find sustainable solutions to address issues and improve existing processes.
? Identify, specify, and ensure implementation of additional functionality in OMP/APO/SAP that will give increased productivity and visibility.
? Define and ensure implementation of site, regional and global supply chain best practices and required systems knowledge-reaching across all business units and world areas with a focus on continuous learning and organizational development.
? Develop and implement standard and objective metrics to ensure that Solutia targets its improvement efforts carefully and that our training and development efforts result in sustained high performance.
? Drive innovation through joint projects with leading Universities.


Required Experience and Skills:

Preferred candidate has solid experience in Supply Chain Systems.
? Masters Degree minimum in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Supply Chain Management, 5+ years experience, PhD a plus.
? ERD and Planning systems knowledge--SAP and Advanced Planning Software (APS) is a plus.
? High degree of initiative. Ability to achieve results individually and in a cross-functional team environment, commitment to completion of task. Drive for process analysis and continuous improvement, and detail orientation.
? Knowledge of production and inventory control systems, planning and scheduling systems, optimizations techniques, simulation methods, MRP II principles and concepts and supply chain processes.
? Ability to travel internationally as needed.
