Key responsibilities

Runs one or some of the following engineering streams

· Design and construction

· P&ID

· Automation

· Piping

· HVAC

· Building

· Site preparation

· Utilities

· Coordinates external engineering companies

· Coordinates contractors and sub-contractors

· Is responsible for design, cost and timelines of his area

· Leads the team leaders of the sub-streams

Critical Experience and Skills

· Master degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical of Process Engineering preferred) in

· 5y+ years of experience in CAPEX projects in chemical and API field ideally gained in an engineering contractor (EPCM)- or operating company

· 2y+ years of experience in CAPEX projects in chemical and API field

· Project management and startups of major capital projects ideally in China

· Must function well in a team based multidiscipline project environment with site management

· Sound leadership skills

· Hands-on experience in construction

· Hands-on experience in working with local Chinese engineering and Design companies

· Hands-on experience in purchasing equipment

· Speaks Mandarin fluently

· Speaks English fluently

· Understands the Chinese culture

· Understands Western culture
