1 Quality Engineer in Suzhou

Our client is a 500 fortune company from US (Automotive Industry) located in SuzhouAccountability Objectives

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, this position is accountable for:

· Provide guidance to suppliers for proper problem solving techniques such as 8D, 7 Step, 5 Principles etc.

· Assist suppliers with new model development and launch including a full understanding of the Commercial Vehicle or Automotive APQP process leading to on time launch with focus on the PPAP.

· Possess a working knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO9000 or ISO/TS16949 and the ability to work with supply base to continuously improve their systems resulting in improved product/service quality and reduced cost.

· Provide in-depth technical knowledge to support machining, polishing and other finishing processes in scrap reduction efforts.

· Act as liaison between Suzhou and forging plants, to communicate issues and solutions for problem resolution and continuous improvement.

· Assist in the implementation of external and internal systems to drive continuous improvement

· Support launches of new produc programs.

· Drive advanced quality planning throughout the subcontractors.

· Assisting in the implementation of external and internal process management systems to drive continuous improvements

· Drive quality-reporting systems to capture and report major quality indicators such as quantities and types of rejects.

· Tracking trends in customer quality metrics such as PPM and Quality rejections.

Job Dimensions:

The principal challenge of this position is to conceive, develop and implement control procedures and systems to assure the quality of our products. Commercial Vehicle OEM's, both domestic and foreign, aftermarket and medium duty truck manufactures are becoming increasingly sophisticated and demanding regarding the methods, techniques and controls utilized on the products they buy. Statistical Process Control, wheel/tire/vehicle interactions, internal and external auditing procedures and customer audits of our facilities are becoming increasingly common and demanding. The incumbent must understand these requirements and take such action as is necessary to maintain and improve position as a leader in the manufacture of forged truck and automobile wheels.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and/or broad experience with demonstrated skill in the Quality Assurance field. The incumbent must possess a thorough knowledge of Alcoa and Quality Assurance procedures and techniques, blue print reading and statistics.

1 Quality Engineer-6 Sigma in Changshu

Position Summary

You will lead the team for continue improvement with 6 sigma tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Competencies

- Good coordinator with cross functional departments in China plant

- Winning attitude to achieve the assigned quality milestones and quality targets in mass production

Education and/or Experience:

- Bachelor degree or above -- Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering related

- Minimum 5 years for quality management experience

- It will be a plus with automotive industry experience

- 6 sigma green belt is the mandatory requirement

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

- Good understanding on mechanical drawing; hands on machining experience will be a good plus

- Familiar with precision manufacturing process.

- Strong communication skill.

- Good English speaking will be a plus

- Fine measuring technique (CMM, Roundness) know how will be a good plus

Specific Equipment / Tool Experience:

- Familiar with engine fuel system is a plus.

- With project management is a plus.

1 Quality Engineer-Machining in Changshu

Position Summary

You will lead the quality activities for machining and production lines assigned by quality manager and closely work with the production team to ensure the successfully launch of the production and build robust quality assurance and control procedure and continuous improvement

You will also assist quality manager on TS implementation in the company,(Customer window)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Quality activities in APQP and documentations for PPAP

- Quality assurance and control for mass production parts

- Use systematic and statistical approach on daily quality issue solving and preventive actions

- Create and maintain quality documents

- Internal process and quality system audit

- Chair of MRB meeting for non-conforming material disposition.

- Support sales/application engineer on customer's complaints

- Work closely with overseas plant (internal customer) on quality issues

- TS16949 implementation and maintenance

Competencies

- Good coordinator with the project team and cross functional departments in China plant

- Winning attitude to achieve the assigned quality milestones during NPI and quality targets in mass production

Education and/or Experience:

- Bachelor degree or above -- Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering related

- Minimum 3 years quality engineer experience

- It will be a plus with automotive industry experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

- Good understanding on metal machining processes; hands on machining experience will be a good plus

- Familiar with all quality tools

- Strong communication skill.

- Good English speaking will be a plus
