Job Description
Sales
- Generate revenue through direct sales; manage sales through existing distributors and agents.
- Quote and negotiate price, freight, and margin terms with customers.
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationship with customers and key industry personnel.
- Educate customers and co-workers about exporting and importing, tariffs, international shipping, foreign exchange, payment (L/C, T/T), insurance, etc.
- Frequent travel to various parts of the region as required
Customer Service
- Manage all order fulfillment activities for ASEAN and East China customers
- Accept, and track customer orders in IFS to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery
- Align customer delivery requirements with factory lead times
- Review requests for warranty, return goods, credits and debits and forward to Distribution Center Manager for approval
- Act as a back-up during vacation periods or as required
- Expedite delivery issues with local operations team
- Coordinate delivery issues with individual manufacturing locations
- Accurately invoice customers for all shipments that have been made
- Adhere to QS9000/ TS16949 contract review procedures
Inside Sales
- Analyze customer requirements
- Prepare quotations based on current market conditions, product type, past market history, technical capabilities and the geographical market segment strategy
- Participate in marketing campaigns to target new customers and market segments
- Work with Regional Sales Managers to execute account/market strategies and development
- Manage incoming leads from marketing (web, trade shows, etc)
- Track quotation trends and order success rates
- Manage referrals to Authorized Distributors
Marketing Support
- Provide input to management to ensure proper strategic market direction and identify obstacles, competitive products and pricing to determine our market competitiveness
- Gather and monitor potentially useful project information from any/all available sources
- Prepare and manage project bid/tender packages
Knowledge Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Minimum 3 years field sales/marketing experience and new business development experience in Automotive, electronics or electrical industry, also harness shop will be preferred.
- Ability to understand how product features and benefits can be used to sell a product to a customer
- Multi-tasking ability (i.e. answer call, manipulate multiple IFS system screens, look-up reference sheets)
