Purpose of the Job

This position is accountable for generating and maintaining sales volume with an emphasis on maximizing UPM’s profitability. Sell the Company’s products with a channel neutral philosophy. Leverage dimensions of business planning, customer relationships, products, service by collaborating across all UPM departments to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Report to Regional Sales Manager


Key Tasks
? Contributes to the regional sales and marketing implementation that aligns with the overall Paper Business Group sales and marketing strategy and key objectives
? Assists the Regional Sales Manager in achieving the sales targets in his/her segment.
? Account management responsibilities as assigned due to channel staffing and size
? Identification and support of customer needs including the end user in cases of distribution and/or printer accounts
? Pricing excellence through adherence and implementation of UPM’s pricing policy and documentation of individual agreements
? UPM contractual practices implemented and enforced
? Profitable new business development that creates potential for long term partnerships
? Strong collaboration with Supply Chain and Technical Sales to meet customer needs
? With respect to any assigned accounts, expand knowledge of UPM offering as appropriate and motivate their sales of UPM versus other suppliers
? Customer Satisfaction, a drive to exceed customer expectations
? Other tasks given by superior


Prerequisites
? Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience – required
? Sales or similar experience – 5 years required, 7 years desired
? Experience in all aspects of relationship management
? Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
