Power/Performance Product Owner Engineer
Qualifications/Requirements:
- An Electrical/Computer Engineering Bachelor's degree plus 7 years, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- A Master's degree plus 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Candidate must have working knowledge of CPU, GPU, and system architectures and their implications on system power and performance. - - Knowledge in BIOS, device driver, application software, benchmark software, and how they interact with hardware is preferred.
- Hands-on lab experience with a focus on power and performance data collection and analysis.
- Excellent program management and communication skill is required (both verbal and written), including Mandarin and English.
- In this position, key performance skills include decision making, problem solving, teamwork, and communication.
Primary Purpose & Key Job Functions:
- This is a leadership role with broad visibility internal to AMD.
- The candidate will have product responsibility for the power and performance aspects of new product development.
- This responsibility will extend from the development of pre-silicon test plans to the delivery of production power and performance characterization data in support the product launch.
- In addition, the candidate will be the initial point of contact for the other AMD engineering development teams on all power and performance issues. The candidate is responsible for reporting out the power and performance status to the AMD technical community.
- The candidate will program manage the technical resources necessary to execute the test plans.
- In the event of customer power and performance issues, the candidate will be the technical liaison in support of resolution.
