GMS Group is a highly-diversified multinational headquartered in Singapore, specialising in loyalty marketing, technology products and logistics. Founded in 1995 in the UK, GMS has a network of over 120 offices across 20 countries throughout Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and employs over 1,300 staff.
As its core business, GMS Loyalty provides turnkey solutions for dining and accommodation loyalty membership programmes for the hotel industry. For this division, we are looking to fill the following positions:
Assistant Vice President China
(based in Shanghai)
This is a key role that involves leading and managing GMS current operations in Shanghai and Beijing for our five-star hotel clients, with a strong focus on client servicing at senior management level. Key areas of responsibility include:
● Leading a team of Assistant Area Directors (AAD’s), Program Managers to ensure sales and profit targets are met
● Liaising with our hotel clients at senior hotel and regional office level and building and reinforcing solid working relationships and lines of communication
● Prepare program sales and profit forecasts and review performance reports
● Establish AAD and Programme Manager performance targets, in line with budgets & KPI’s and ensure the required assistance, training and motivation is provided across all levels in the organisation
● Day to day review of sales and profit performance and operational KPI’s, management of underperforming programs
● Implementation of client corporate strategies for its loyalty program, together with GMS Marketing and Operations
● Ensure company guidelines and best practices are being followed across all programmes
To fulfill this exciting and multi-faceted role the right candidate will have the following competencies:
● Fully bilingual English / Mandarin and excellent communication skills
● Solution and customer service oriented
● Possess business awareness and ability to think strategically
● Strong planning and organisational skills
● Good understanding of online marketing channels in China
● Passionate & Results Driven
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar regional role or in managing a business is essential; senior call center management experience or similar and/or a background in the hospitality industry in marketing or operations would be a distinct advantage
