Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for market success of products
- Responsibility for product strategy and contribution to product portfolio planning
- Responsibility for product definition and requirement specification: Define product requirements based on market feedback and discussions with sales and engineering.
- Monitor market trends and competition for medical device products in China
- Elaboration of business plans for products
- Responsibility for product cost analysis and definition of actions to increase product profitability (including pushing of design to cost activities and local sourcing)
- Specify system test before market release, plan and conduct clinical use test at customer site
- Responsibility to compile documents in responsibility of product mgmt, e.g. user manual &data sheet
- Support product-related marketing and sales activities
- Collect sales feedback and answer questions from the sales force
- Take care of VIP customers and clinical reference sites
Qualifications:
Education:
University BA degree or higher, major in engineering, medical or business
Knowledge/Languages:
A very high standard of spoken and written English is required close interaction with German headquarters
Experience:
- Several years experience in product management and/or marketing, ideally in Chinese medical industry with competitor
- Medical clinical knowledge for one of X-ray, cardiovascular, respiration, ultrasound, product applications desirable
- Knowledge of one of X-ray, cardiovascular, respiration, ultrasound, in Chinese market desirable
- Experience in working in virtual teams across different locations and countries
Project/Process:
Experience in interdisciplinary and multi-location projects
Intercultural:
-Working experience in a Western company necessary
- Working experience in an intercultural environment desirable, preferably combined with long stays abroad
The candidate needs to be travel within China and abroad
