Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing and driving the end-to-end test effort of Datacard's Enterprise applications. Test responsibility includes validating the User requirements, defect reporting, test case creation, maintenance, execution and escalation of issues found, and test cases automation.

Responsibilities:

Development 70%
? Perform test planning and test cases development based on user -stories and high-level feature concept reviews is required. The candidate must possess ability to perform exploratory testing over and above the defined test cases.
? Creation and execution of automated functional and performance tests are expected.
? Track problems/bugs and fixes. Report bugs, create and provide metrics on bugs, resolution turnaround and testing processes, including test cycle times
? Daily collaboration with the project team, including project management, technical lead, developers to provide status on current issues, upcoming issues and possible future enhancements.

Deployment 30%
? Assist with deployments and help troubleshoot production issues during business and off-hours if escalated to Engineering team is expected.
? Provide information and training to support teams once application is production ready.


Basic Qualifications:
? The candidate is expected to be familiar with Agile practices and understand test role/responsibility under Agile development environment.
? Candidate must have 5-7 years of relevant experience in Test/Quality Assurance.
? Experience testing Web Applications, Client/Server Enterprise Architecture and familiar with both functionality and load/performance testing.
? Experience writing Test Plans & Test Cases.
? Understanding of Oracle including the use of Stored Procs and ability to do database queries.
? Understanding of/Experience in Agile Development environment.
? Good communication, coordination, organization, planning and analysis skills are required.
? BS/BA in Computer Science or engineering equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience with HP LoadRunner test tool a plus.
? Experience testing WebServices.
? Programming experience in object oriented languages such as Java and C#
? Certifications in Enterprise Testing suites
