Experience/Qualification(s) required

·Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics Management

·At least 5 years experiences in shipping, distribution, transportation or inventory planning/warehousing

·Trained in OH&S

·Possesses the APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management, CPIM

·Familiar with ERP software like JDE or Oracle

·People Management Skills

·Project Management certification (PMP)

·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word Powerpoint and MS Project Access

·Excellent English skills

Key responsibilities:

Engine Inventory management in China

·Reviews month-end inventory results

·Projects the next month-end inventory forecast based on input from Sales, on-hand inventory, stocks in transit and new receipts

·Analyses current stocks for fast and slow moving items (SKU classification) on a regular basis

·Performs inventory housekeeping (SKU rationalization) periodically

·Identifies and manages the excess and obsolete items in the current inventory

·Worldwide & regional engine deployment & allocation participation

Warehousing and Distribution

·Warehouse management in China

·Ensures workplace health and safety requirements with corporate policy and local laws and regulations

·5S & FIFO Management

·Implements and maintains best practice in receiving, storage & kitting and shipping

·Operation efficiency improvements

·Physical layout and storage optimization

·Proper storage rules for chemical & dangerous goods

·Participate in reviews, planning and implementation of global initiatives that will improve the distribution operations

·Middle to long term facility planning along with business growing.

Parts Inventory Management

·Responsible for monitoring and maintaining acceptable levels of inventory

·Minimises shrinkage by ensuring that inventory is not stolen, destroyed, lost or counted incorrectly

·Parts Forecasting

·Urgent replenishment initiatives to support customer

·Parts mutual supporting inside Asia and worldwide

Owns and manages the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Processes in China

·Schedules and holds a monthly meeting with the country GM and sales staff

·Forecast & demand analysis and questioning

·Pre-alter to over stock & replenishment

·Gets the sign-off from appropriate heads/key people, follow the DOA process for replenishement

·Updates Demantra for production WIDF, GSF planning in FDL

·Participate and contribute to regional and global SIOP initiatives and projects

·Checks Outboard engines' availability with Outboard Supply Chain Group

Logistics, Import, Export

·In Charge of all Import, Export and Logistics operations for China engines and parts

·Ensures best practice Logistics Costs

·Ensures Trade Compliance

·Ensures adherence to Chinese government regulations and tax rules

·Logistics forwarder management
