Job Description

Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Changshu, China

Report to: Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting Oatey EPS on following tasks

1. to develop and maintain ISO 9001 system as per Oatey corporate standard and Oatey EPS situation .
2. to analyze quality risk and provide preventative proposal to Plant manager for existing projects and new project .
3. to develop income inspection instruction and in-process inspection instruction for new project.
4. audit production team to ensure all procedures related to quality are implemented 100%. And provide monthly report to EPS plant manager
5. to work with China Engineering team to approve new component and new process for new project that is produced in EPS.
6. to work with local vender to figure out root cause and temporary and permanent corrective action for quality problem of EPS item.

Supporting Oatey trading company (FICE) on following tasks

1. to work with China engineering team to survey and qualify local vender

2. to work with China engineering team to approve purchasing products and production process at vender site with direct and support from US team.

3.to work with China engineering team to develop quality inspection tools

4. to direct and audit vender periodically to assure purchased product quality meets Oatey specification 100%.

5. to work with local vender to figure out root cause and temporary and permanent corrective action for quality problem for FICE item.

6. to head incoming inspection for purchased product before shipping.

Primary Internal Relationships:

· Production & manufacturing

· Purchase local and globally.

· Technology R&D

· Project teams in new development.

Qualifications:

· College or bachelor degree in mechanical, engineering, material testing or related.

· 3 to 8 years experience as a Quality Engineer with a manufacturing or production organization.

· Knowledge of various manufacturing and quality processes.

· Be familiar to injection molding, and ISO 9001 system.

· Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure all project is finished on time.

· Have a good awareness of quality risks and be proactive to investigate root cause and corrective action when quality problem occurred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis.

· Be able to read English mail and documents.

· Good team work spirits

· Willing to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% of time

· To be proactive on each task assigned by his direct supervisor.
