The National Transition Manager is responsible for the effective management of the transitional processes of any new business of any new business or any organic growth requiring a transition. The role will have full coverage of all ISS divisions and will require a high level of performance within the transitional process, which will lead to profitability, the enhancement of the ISS brand, new business and organic growth.
The National Transition Manager will work in true partnership and collaboration with the Key Account Managers or operational leads within the transitions to ensure they deliver on the specifications and standards agreed within the contract, to ISS service delivery standards. Outside of normal transitional delivery it is expected that the National Transition Manager will at all times act in accordance with the ISS Values and focuses on adding value to the business and establishing an excellent brand for the Operational Excellence division.
In addition, the National Transition Manager will focus on training and development of the Transitional Process Framework with the Key Account Managers and operational leads so the business realises its growth in Transitional capability across the group. The training and development of this will require a central location and strategy to ensure the capability is shared within ISS
The Transition Manager will also have an ongoing role in business development, providing contributions to bids and working proactively with the Sales division. This work will not be a core function of the role but will be required from time to time.
Regular travel will be required, as per the Transition requirements for new contracts within ISS China.
Transition Management:
? Lead the transition activities for new contracts and extensions to existing contracts
? Successfully manage (in partnership with Operations) the transfer of responsibility and the management of change, by planning, communicating and managing a seamless transfer of facility services from an incumbent supplier or from a customer organisation to ISS using sound project management principles and systems
? Ensure that the processes are in accordance with the principles of the Transition Process Framework
? Ensure that timelines are being met with Operational Transitional leads to ensure that the contracts commence or continue in accordance with client and ISS standards
? Provide reports on progress on Transitions, as required
? Provide guidance on transitions process to Key Account Managers on small contract wins. (This work is not be completed at the expense of large contracts which are the focus)
? If required, lead the transition out of the lost contracts to deliver successful and sustainable outcomes for all partners
? Work with the ISS Global Transitions team to identify new processes, tools and best practices that can be applied in the Chinese market
? Actively seek opportunities to enhance and/or develop ISS processes and procedures and transition tools
? Provide a solutions-focused approach to transition management, including understanding unique transitional requirements and adapting or developing tools to meet these needs
? Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
Effective financial management and focus on cost efficiency
? Through the effective and successful management of Transitions, enhance the likelihood that the contracted services will be delivered to meet or exceed the customer expectations whilst achieving the contract budgetary goals at the earliest possible time
? Complete all Transitional activities in accordance with budgets and with a focus on cost efficiency
? Constantly look for opportunities to make savings within the Transition processes that will enhance business performance
Customer Relations and working in accordance with ISS Values
? Ensure that a true partnership and focus towards service is met with the Key Account Managers and Operational leads for the Transition process and that the relations are in accordance with the ‘Service with a Human Touch’ standards and ISS values
? Be the lead client contact relating to Transitions, lead client Transition update meetings and attend regular contract review meetings during the Transition process
? Regularly stay in contact with clients (both internal and external) to ensure their satisfaction within the Transition process
? Ensure that services provided are in accordance with the customer’s specified requirements and are achieved in the most economical and cost efficient manner
? Enhance the image and reputation of the Operational Excellence Division by liaison, cooperation and coordination with both external and internal stakeholders
Business Development
? With regards to the Transition, work closely with the Sales team to meet with prospective clients and promote new business, where required
? Develop the Transition plans for complex and/or large contract transitions during the bid phase and where required, assist in drafting the Transition solution within the bid response
? Work on and with the National Sales team to provide Transition solutions for new opportunities, where required
Knowledge sharing of the Transitional Process Framework
? Develop a strategy to share the transitional Process Framework to the greater business and in particular Key Account Managers and Operational leads
? Actively share knowledge and skills to enhance the transitional skills of ISS Managers by providing guidance and direction in the use of these transition processes and tools to the greater business
? Ensure that Transitional Framework and information is located in a shared drive so information is accessible to greater business and links well to ongoing business development
Promote a Safety Culture
? Promote and support the HSEQ management policy and procedures
? Ensure all employees are working in accordance with the company’s HSEQ rules and requirements
Job Requirements:
Essential:
Extensive experience in the FM industry, ideally managing both hard and soft services
? Previous experience managing Transitions
? Previous experience in strategy, policy and procedure development
? Experience developing project plans
Solutions focused with the proven ability to solve complex problems
? Innovative approach with the ability to source new ideas, tools and implement within the business
? Proactive with a strong sense of urgency and proven ability to meet deadlines
? Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Excellent time management and organisational skills
? Ability to influence stakeholders to generate the best outcomes for the business
? Strong understanding of project management principles
? Proficient in Microsoft office products
? Working knowledge of transition frameworks and processes
? Demonstrable knowledge and skills within risk management principles and practices
Desirable:
? Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Business, Facilities Management, Project Management or similar
? Good understanding of western business practices and how they can be applied in the Chinese market
Experience working for a multi-national company
