To better capture innovation & to anticipate the changes our industry is experiencing, AXA ASSSISTANCE has decided to create a new digital innovation Business Unit in Shanghai, to help accelerate the digital transformation of the Group & address emerging needs in the Chinese Market (Sharing economy, Peer to Peer, On-demand economy, On Line to Offline app), working in close collaboration with AXA Lab Asia located in Shanghai to build stronger connections with local big tech players.
Innovation is now coming from everywhere & notably from emerging markets.
Asia & China are now entering into a new era: after many years of a copy-paste strategy, digital technology and innovation are increasingly becoming an integrated part of everyday life. Over the last decade, Asian cities have become successful start-up incubators, creating new business ecosystems & investment opportunities.
The AXA ASSISTANCE CHINA Digital Innovation Business Unit has 5 missions:
1.Develop a new digital business model & value proposition to redesign the partner / customer experience.
2.Detect potential business partners & implement win-win-win commercial partnerships to co-build on-demand offers & services.
3.Design & build business solutions enabled by a scalable API Tech platform.
4.Build a digital service operation platform.
5.Pilot & scale the new business revenue model.
The Digital Innovation Business Unit reports directly to AXA ASSISTANCE CHINA Chief Executive Officer, based in China & an Excom Member of the ASIA REGION BOARD, Head Quartered in Hong Kong.
In the course of its development, AXA ASSISTANCE CHINA is looking for a Digital Solution Lead Developer for its Digital Innovation Business Unit.
Core Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements:
Under the supervision of the AXA ASSISTANCE CHINA Chief Business Development Officer and Digital Transformation, the Digital Solution Lead Developer will:
Description
As a key member of the Digital Innovation Business Unit, the Digital Solution Lead Developer’s role is to assure the successful execution of the company’s business mission through the development & deployment of company’s digital solution. This requires envisioning the company’s service offerings as an API business platform, leading the implementation of the digital solutions, and providing sales team with the right tools to secure new business.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
1.Evaluate & identify appropriate technology platforms (including digital application frameworks & the deployment stack) for delivering the company’s services.
2.Lead strategic planning and development to achieve business goals by identifying & prioritizing development initiatives & setting timetables for the evaluation, development & deployment of all API-based services according to business priorities
3.Establish a governance process & direct development & execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, & availability of the company’s data & servers.
Implementation & Deployment:
4.Participate in the selection & registration of the company’s web site domain names and other online named platforms such as Weibo and Wechat, including any related-but-unused domains that could compromise the integrity of the business (through competition, typo squatting, etc.).
5.Collaborate with business partners & potential customers to develop use cases (or user stories) & specifications that describe the implementation of the company’s services as an API platform.
6.Prepare wireframes or mock-ups of a prototype of the company’s API platform and its implementation for business purposes
7.Select & manage outsourced vendors (e.g. through Hackathons) who will design, build & manage the ongoing development of the API platform conforming to mobile standards.
8.Design and Develop digital solutions accordingly to digital transformation needs and requirements, including the mock-ups and demonstrations platforms used during pre-sales and sales process
9.Code and implements software, APP, API or webpage needed to achieve overall digital transformation objectives and support sales to secure new businesses
10.Commit and maintain code and back-ups as well as proper code documentation to ensure further re-use
11.Review current best practices for the selected API framework & establish the initial architecture for the application.
12.Select, deploy, & monitor performance profiling tools & procedures.
13.Review & approve proposed development releases & manage the release process.
14.Establish & monitor a web analytics regime that measures site traffic & application usage relative to business goals.
15.Establish a customer service & support process, with particular responsibility for digital services that implement the support function. Establish a process to integrate customer service & support with the software engineering process to support resolution of customer issues & improve application usability.
Operational Management:
1.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and functional integration of newly developed digital solutions accordingly to IT policies
2.Collaborate with back office – reconciliation, accounting, network operations, call-centre – to guarantee the integration of new operation processes.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification:
1.University degree in the field of computer science or business administration.
2.Fluent in Chinese (native speaking language), written/spoken fluency in English.
Knowledge & Experience:
1.Demonstrated ability to work with API-based services and Wechat integration that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.
2.2-4 years’ experience managing API platform development and Wechat integration
3.2-5 years’ experience developing and managing web-based services application and webpages
4.Experience with start-up companies.
5.Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework.
6.Capability to understand customer request and transform them into technical specifications
7.Knowledge of Wechat API and Wechat programming
8.Familiar with Wechat official account management
9.HTML, HTML5, PHP, CSS for front-end programming
10.Proficient using PHP for API programming
11.Proficient using MySQL for database management skills
12.Skills & experience with mobile application development, IOS/Android
13.Experience with back-end system integration.
Will be a plus:
1.Skills & experience with mobile application development, IOS/Android
2.Familiarity with technical requirements of mobile marketing, social commerce platform & search engine optimization.
3.Familiar with information security vulnerabilities & risk management.
