Major Responsibilities / Performance Objectives /Performance Skills – Plant Controller in China
Forecast, budget and Analysis
? Lead plant team to drive process to develop the best annual budget and regular forecast
? Partnership with plant manager to identify all opportunities to maximize profitability through functional target set up
? Keep eyes open on volume or market change from customers side to ensure effective communication with management
? Prioritize forecast accuracy to fully understand whole business and always have contingency plan to offset bad news
? Educate and coach operation and commercial team to enhance budget and forecast mindset and concept
Monthly and Annual closing
? Streamline with FSSC to develop efficient process for monthly and annual closing
? Ownership for accounting procedure and results despite some accounting functions are shared by FSSC
? Regular review and study with team on Balance Sheet to make sure all significant issues being investigated and addressed well
? Work closely with APO corporate accounting team to support and conduct annual external audit in proper way
Internal Control
? Take full accountability about internal control to ensure all process well developed and designed
? Take a strong leadership to provide coaching and education in plant to emphasize importance of internal control and compliance
? Fully engaged in business or operation including purchasing, production, logistic, commercial as well as finance to maintain a robust process or workflow
? Focus more efforts and allocate more resources on critical or weak area to prevent mistakes or issues from happening
? Develop regular update mechanism to ensure APO/country management to be noticed for key internal control issues
? Ownership to lead all activities necessary to ensure all FOA or SOX audits being satisfied
Commercial and market development
? Fully participate in process of commercial planning and activities to back up for program award and competitive quotation
? With clear guidance or strategy from APO management to support to develop targeted customers and enhance vertical integration business
? Design and develop strong benchmark to assist commercial team to push down LTA requests
? As key member of plant team to drive more commercial benefits including recovery on tooling or ED&D
Purchasing control
? Actively Involve in purchasing process since program quotation and fully understand cost structure to develop accurate BOM before SOP
? Fully support Lear to centralize purchasing function if ready, to enhance Lear overall purchasing bargaining power with vendors as well as mitigate compliance
? Emphasize on Lean process to re-streamline for efficiency improvement and leverage resources through centralizing purchasing process or organization to maximize Lear benefits
? Support or sponsor to integrate among systems(NOMS, QAD, etc) for seamless workflow
? Ensure or regularly review on vendor master file and check process on vendor selection to mitigate integrity issues
Operation support and investment management
? Support and make sure operation to have right and necessary investment to maintain production capacity
? Work closely with HR team to monitor on lab market and cost change to support engineering to redesign process for lab efficiency
? Partnership with plant manager and collaborate with APO team to well budget Capx investment to support Long Rang Plan
Business Strategic mindset
? Always keep eyes open on or be very sensitive about Lear overall business strategy and development plan
? Strong mindset or interested on understanding Asia or China economy change, as well as Auto industry development
People Development
? Fully utilize HR tools or resources to conduct regular staff review to develop talents
? Encourage staff to be creative or flexible to learn across functions and build up interest to drive business or operation
? Ensure the team growth and join together with APO or country team to develop talent pool
? Clear communication and development plan for the team
External Relations
? Banks, Taxation offices, external auditors and all other financial and regulatory departments to ensure all statutory requirements complied
? Ensure compliance with AOA requirement
? Ownership to ensure administration on legal compliance requirements and lead plant team to manage documents retention
? Bridge to liaise with APO and country management to support communication for business purpose
Requirements:
Academic/Professional Education & Relevant Experience & Others Technical Skills/Knowledge*
? Bachelor degree in Accounting or finance
? Ideally qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
? 10 years total finance experience of which at least 2 or more at a Manager or above level
? Experience in manufacturing Industry required and experience in US listing companies preferred
? Experience required for ERP
? Experience for QAD/Hyperion preferred
? Strong English/Mandarin speaking and writing
? China and U.S. GAAP
? SOX experience
