Essential Duties:
To handle legal and compliance matter including the followings:
1. To provide legal supports to the University concerning contracts and other daily operations on which legal advice and services are necessary or desirable. Such legal supports include:
(1) drafting, revising and negotiating legal documents in both Chinese and English’
(2) analyzing legal risks and providing practical, effective and solution-based legal advice for daily business;
(3) investigation and research of relevant laws; and
(4) providing training to University members on laws and PRC regulations.

2. To handle disputes, litigation and government investigation.

3. Support the Chancellor’s Office in establishing and updating a University governance and compliance structure to ensure the lawful and legitimate operation of the University and its related businesses

4. To implement compliance policies and establish compliance procedures.
5. Other tasks as assigned.
6. University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in law, with PRC bar qualification.
Working Experience: 2 to 3 years of working experience as an in-house legal counsel in a foreign invested company or as a counsel in a law firm.
Language: Fluent in speaking and writing both Mandarin Chinese and English.
