Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in an intermediate and/or leadership Human Resources function
Accreditation in Human Resources Management or equivalent work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.
Demonstrated problem solving, facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Sound knowledge of applicable legislation (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, OSHA, WSIB/WCB, Pay Equity)
Experience in recruitment and selection, training assessment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation management
Proficiency with software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and PeopleSoft
Job Description:
Develop and implement Human Resources strategies, policies and procedures to meet Litens business strategy and organizational culture.
Provides a service to management and employees to maintain good communication.
Advise or assist in the proper and legal handling of hiring, firing and resignations as well as disciplinary warnings and probation periods.
Recruits, interviews and hires production employees.
Follows up on all employee concerns.
Familiar with all new legislation as it pertains to Litens.
Working knowledge of pay equity, job evaluation, employment equity and employee benefits.
Training/development supervisors and department managers on company procedures and assuring consistency and compliance.
Directly involved in all aspects of the company health, safety & environmental programs.
Guides and assists employees and managers.
Advise departments of salary adjustments/reviews.
Perform hourly-rated and salaried payroll including updating of master-file records.
Ensures that department and employees comply with Quality Systems and ISO 14001 requirements.
Any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
