Platform engineering team has immediate opening for staff firmware development engineer (MTS: Member of Technical Staff). Key responsibilities of the position is listed below

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Primary interface from diagnostics group to ASIC IP design team
? Work closely with IP design team to define ISP (Image Signaling Process) post-silicon validation plan
? Design the ISP test architecture under diagnostics test framework, and lead the test development to meet new silicon validation schedule
? As the key technical representative of AMD Shanghai diagnostics team to participate North American IPVA (IP Validation Architecture) meeting
? Provide technical guidance to senior/junior engineers
? Responsible for execution of programs, multiple projects on the go
? Forward thinker to improve development process and drive innovation

REQUIREMENTS
? B.Sc. or M.Sc. In EE or CS or equivalent is required
? Good English required - verbal and written
? Mandarin

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
? A minimum of 5+ years experience on driver or embedded SW development and closely interact with HW designers (8+ years as a bachelor, 5+ years as a master)
? Familiar with Linux
? Proficient in C/C++ programming
? Strong mix of large-scale software development ability and hardware understanding
? Solid understanding for camera interface like MIPI-CSI, and image pre-processing or post-processing is required.
? 2+ years experience in camera driver or camera sensor firmware development is required, experience in 3A (AF, AWB, AE) is highly desired.
? Knowledge for 3D graphics is highly desired
? Strong debugging and testing skills
? Strong communication skills in English
