POSITION OVERVIEW



This position is responsible for conducting laboratory, pilot and field trials to support the introduction of new products in key areas of application technology. The successful candidate will provide on-site customer support of product demonstrations, conversions and start ups to products. The candidate also troubleshoots customer problems, makes product recommendations from a standard product line, and makes application recommendations to customers. The application specialist will also lead and document new product development processes.



PRIMARY DUTIES



30 % Conduct independent trials at potential and existing customer facilities to support new business wins and solve application process problems. Suggests process improvements, trains customer’s operators and works with customer operations and technical personnel to resolve product performance issues.



30 % Test and evaluate selected adhesive suitability and performance for customer specific applications in a field laboratory & pilot facility using standard or customer test methods and formulas. Manage lab tweak and new product development projects. This includes project management and documentation of project objectives, progress, and results.

25 % Makes product and process recommendations to customers. Documents trial activity and provide customers with data-based justification for the value products deliver. Drive the development of value based quantification tools and product selection guides for use as sales tools.



10 % Establish in-house test methods and document products and competitive products according to these test methods.



5 % Document competitive products, technology, performance properties and product introduction. Develop and maintain competitive database. Support the Innovation process and specifically new product development. Participate in Gate Reviews. 举报 分享
