EXPERIENCED AND INDEPENDENT WAREHOUSE MANAGER WANTED TO A SWEDISH COMPANY IN SHANGHAI
About the company
A large sized Swedish company within electronic industry, with around 150 employees and 150 Million USD turn-over.
Role and Responsibility
? Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
? Complies with national, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
? Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
? Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
? Organize regular warehouse stocktaking, be responsible for material loss and stocktaking accuracy
? Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
? Maintain records and prepares reports. Ensure the data accuracy and input accuracy of the OPM input, transactions. Report out the abnormalities to operations managers and take actions to solve it.
? Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
? Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
? Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
? Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Experience and characteristics
? College graduated or above
? 5 years working experience in warehouse management
? Logistics/Warehouse management background is a must
? 5S and EHS management experience
? WMS knowledge
? Inventory management knowledge
? Stock control knowledge
? Good English skills both in oral and written
? Fluent PC skills
? Mature & able to work independently
? Customer thinking and pro-active mindset
? Hardworking and quick learner
? Good personality and ethics
? Team work spirit
? Problem Solving Skills: The ability to identify the causes of a problem and take action to rectify
? Influencing Skills: The ability to persuade others to achieve an outcome
? Collaboration: The ability to work Co-operatively with others as opposed to working competitively
