Job Description
Job Title: Product Specialist (ACCESSORIES & FOOTWEAR)
Reporting to: Production Director (Footwear)
Responsibilities:
1. Development
? Partnering with Accessories Team/Footwear team to help RM suppliers and Vendors understand the Testing Process & Compliance Importance and RL testing process.
? Partnering with NY QA team on use of TDCR fabric and trim database for consistent communication of testing requirements, requests and raw materials testing.
? Partnering with Accessories and Footwear division on TDCR registration and testing briefing for new suppliers/vendors.
? Partnering with TDCR team (TDCR helpdesk) on logon issue fixing and system updates.
? Line review with PD Teams to get aware of new materials and styles and work out testing plan for some ones specially constructed or highly concerned. Work out plans of pre-production testing for Accessories and Base Performance testing for Footwear of risky material development and design


2. Production
? By training to have vendors and RM supplier do testing applications for their own materials in TDCR and manage them for future reference.
? Check IC#/testing chart to filter out any duplicate IC# application and unnecessary testing application for the brands not yet live in PLM. For the PLM-live brands, partnering with Accessories raw material team and footwear production development team on matching of old IC# and newly created ID# by mean of TDCR RM library and the linking of testing records to ID#.
? Create test request reflecting current RL Global protocols to meet changing regulatory requirement if necessary.
? Communicate with third party labs to ensure samples are tracked and received from vendors correctly identified and in amount needed for complete testing and check the status of sample submission and give warning to the vendors if any delay found.
? Test requests reflecting current PRL Global protocols to meet RL regulatory requirements when needed.
? Verify testing requirements are met or exceeded.
? Analyze failures and push suppliers for correction action when test done.
? Support all brands on issues related to quality, compliance and testing of all materials.
? Check the status of sample submission and give warning to the vendors if any delay found.




3. Reporting:
? Daily activities direct report will be Raw Material manager from the performance evaluation perspective.
? Also reporting to NY QA from technical compliance perspective.

Qualifications

? At least 6 years of testing & compliance requirement
? Working in lab house is a PLUS
? Knowledgeable in product development, production processes and best practices
? Rich experience working with product and material testing requirement globally
? Communication skills are the must
? System work and detail oriented
? Good command of spoken and written English
