Commodity Buyer:
Job Description:
Commodity Buyers work as part of the SCM team to guarantee the supply of parts (from approved vendors) to production and logistics. They are individually and collectively responsible for the quality, cost, inventory turn over rate and timely delivery of parts and material.
Commodity Buyers have particular responsibility for purchasing material to support dynamic production and logistics requirements.
Typical work activities
? Placing purchase orders on suppliers
? Managing Supplier Deliveries
? Managing Supplier Returns
? Inventory Management
? Coordination of Engineering Changes
? Maintaining material cost records in ERP system
? Supplier quality control
? Purchasing cost control
? Supply strategy management and development
? Reporting
? Payment issue handling
? Others

Job Requirements:
Resources with relevant experience in purchasing and supply chain management
? Major in electric or electronics is preferred
? Bachelor’s degree or above
? Must understands integrated supply chain and logistic concepts
? Must be able to communicate supply chain objectives clearly and convey the benefits to the organization
? Must be knowledgeable and have experience in implementing planning and forecasting systems SAP(MRP/DRP/ERP/CRM)
? Proficient in MS Excel and Access
? Excellent analytical abilities
? Excellent team-building and project management skills
? Excellent negotiation skill
? Be honest and carefully with a strong sense of responsibility and proactiveness
