Job Title: Project Manager

Overview
Highly motivated Project Manager should be able to drive development projects in a timely, efficient and effective way in order to ensure short time to market, high rate of success, low development cost, high transparency and visibility to the organization.
The candidate should possess strong leadership and project management skills. The candidate should also have a strong engineering background along with good working knowledge of electrical/mechanical manufacturing technologies (molding/stamping/plating/assembly).
Responsibilities
1. Setting up and Maintaining Project Schedules and Teams (Manpower, Money, Material)
- Setup project plans and schedules incl. Comprehensive Project plans for development projects by close cooperation with all involved cross functional team members.
- Define milestones and critical paths and evaluate the risk of delays in order to minimize their impact on the schedule.
- Analyze the status of development projects and identify ways to catch up with lost time.
- Coordinate and communicate frequently with project team members their tasks and the timing of the tasks.
- Follow up closely with team members to make sure they finish their tasks on time.
- Record deviations from the target schedules and adjust schedules accordingly.
-Come up with contingency plans to meet the customer schedules
2. Project budget and product cost plan and control, to simulate product cost include parts and tooling in system way in project early phase, to plan and control the P&L of the project along all the project gate with clear P&L financial sense.
3. Project Status Reporting
- Report adjustments in the schedules in a timely manner and communicate changes with the team members frequently.
- Provide detailed updates including statistical evaluations and recommendations to PAC (Project approval committee) according to the project gate plan.
- Highlight issues, which may require members of the management to be involved.
- Provide ad-hoc updates if requested and maintain a project info board for team members and management regularly.
4. Requirements Management
organizing customer needs: evaluate collected marketing information (discreet discussions and in-depth interviews with customers, surveys, customer specifications, field reports, customer complaints) and compile the PRD and verify it against the Design Objectives.
5. Work instructions and directives
Identify relevant instructions (PR process, TEOA-E) and directives, having an impact on development projects and follow them closely.
6. Evaluation of team member's performance
Evaluate the performance of the project team members frequently and provide feedback to the functional leaders.
Guide development engineers to use available engineering tools (GMSS, Design Reuse, LDFSS, Innovation for Results, VOC) and to focus on the Standard Product Development Process
Qualifications
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
· At least 6+ years project management working experiences in electronics, electrical, mechanical design and/or manufacturer as project manager role. Multi-national company is preferred.
· Hands-on experiences in applying project management methodology and principles, PMP certification is a plus.
· Strong will to drive and lead projects.
· Solid knowledge about the product cost simulation and P&L.
· Proven skills in managing multiple projects.
· Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become significant issues.
· Knowledge on interconnectivity products is a plus.
· Understand design for manufacturability (DFM)
· Able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills and social ability.
. Acting with caution and in a well-structured manner.
· Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
· Have good financial sense of a project: budget aspects& contract signing aspects.
