职位描述：
The Material Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for working within the global business product platform teams. The Material Program Manager leads, coaches and might manage a group of supply chain teams to drive product material cost savings roadmaps during the Back End Process (FEP) of the new product introduction phase. The MPM also supports the technology roadmap and product manufacturability through the supplier / business partner interface within the NPI phase and through the end of life product cycle. This position works closely with other key functional representatives from New Business Development, Commodity Management, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Quality Engineering, Transportation and Operations to ensure the supply base is effectively serving internal and external customer needs.
   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing multiple project timelines within the business product platform related to suppliers on Time Delivery (OTD) performance during prototype / development phases (Gate 1 to Gate 4).
? Develop material product cost sourcing strategy for the NPI programs within the business product platforms.
? Provide direction from the quotation analysis that the NPI specialists prepare from different suppliers, utilizing the (TCO) total cost of ownership tools and should cost of the parts, components, etc.
? Assist with supplier selection during the development of new technology roadmap’s that are required for a new or existing product.
? Manage multiple projects within product platforms Bill of Material (BOM) component list completeness and material readiness throughout phase gate process.
? Responsible for managing a team of NPI specialists that execute the PPAP orders for new parts of sustaining or end of life new parts from the order inception, quality inspection review and engineering sign-off.
? Lead and support price negotiations related to material product costs within their respective product family.
? Responsible for overall material product cost savings objectives related to new product launches and end of life product costs.
? Facilitate quoting based on sourcing strategy for both initial builds as well as volume manufacturing requirements.
? Co-leads development of make / buy materials strategies with Operations team.
? Own budget (CAPEX and expense) tracking of costs related to products within their respective product families.
? Conduct and facilitate technical design reviews with suppliers, in order to confirm functionality of the part / component and manufacturability.
? Act as Oracle Super User within functional area as assigned.
? Perform other duties as assigned.

   Basic Qualifications:
 Master’s Degree in Optical Technology, Supply Chain or related field OR 4 years related experience in the Supply Chain field within a similar working environment;
? Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Supplier Quality or Management.
? Technical ability to handle Material Science Projects for Optical Coatings.
? Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 30% of the time. 举报 分享
