OVERVIEW
 
Energy Asia team is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Asia Operations Controller position. This candidate will have the responsibility to oversee all operational finance related issues in Asia, and serve as a key business partner driving long and short-term operational finance performance across Asia: managing manufacture variance, control conversion and other operations cost, drive plant productivity, implement Capex plan and facilitate inventories optimization, while advising the leadership team on risks, compliance and opportunities. The role reports to APAC Controller of Energy, and is based in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Primary Responsibilities:
? Lead full financial functions of Energy plants (K1 & K2) in Kunshan: accounting, financial planning, forecasting & analysis, and internal control. The Controller has a leading role in the local management team and is expected to motivate the whole team to continuous improvements. Set up a robust costing analysis and control mechanism to continuously improve productivity. Identify cost drivers, translate financial insights into recommendations and drive execution of agreed actions through completion that impacts business results.
? Partner with operational leaders to develop long term strategy, set financial plan and targets, and relentlessly drive execution. Share responsibility for the financial performance of the plant with the plant manager.
? Develop a structured controlling environment to ensure compliance with Company Policy. Assess operational processes and make proposals for change to such processes, including the requests to invest or spend resources in any way. Preparation and calculation of various scenarios is expected, indicating risks and opportunities.
? Interact with ENG BU global Operation finance team to make sure key KPIs are tracked timely, financial indicators are translated to effective actions to improve.
? Work with Asia Purchasing and Supply Chain leaders, as well as legal entity controllers outside of China, to provide visibility on supply chain finance, provide financial and analytical support, and drive material productivity, and inventory optimization.
? Serve as legal entity controller, working with external auditors on statutory and Tax matters (eg: annual stat & tax filings), and carrying out other related responsibilities
? Work closely with Corporate Finance (FSSC) and other corporate functions (Tax, Treasury etc.) to ensure smooth communications and drive execution
? Supervise and instruct direct reports to perform and develop the team’s capability to meet business requirements and achieve individual development goals
 
Qualification & Experience/Competency Required :
? Bachelor’s degree, preferably majoring in finance and accounting.
? Minimum 8 years work experience in finance, preferred in an industrial multinational environment, with management experience in operations finance and analytics
? Thorough understanding of Operations finance details, including cost allocation methods, pay-back calculations and standard cost calculation.
? Good understanding of all business processes, their interaction and their impact on the operational results
? Ability to leverage, apply and integrate professional and academic experience and knowledge into formalizing solutions, procedures, and resolving issues
? Able to summarize complex information, can convince others and good presentation skills
? Solid accounting knowledge on PRC GAAP and US GAAP, and management accounting
? Proficient in SAP
? Excellent written and oral English language skills
? Must possess a positive, team oriented attitude, and strong communication skills 举报 分享
