RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Work with Sales and Product Line Management on project goals & objectives. Analyze feasibility of new products in line with marketing strategy and technical criteria.
2.Benchmark competitors' products and track technology advancements.
3.Understand and utilize the NPI procedure to ensure timely completion of related activities.
4.Design, develop and lead the implementation of new Engineering concepts for overall improvement including the use of statistical tools.
5.Develop cost reduction proposals on existing product lines.
6.Ensures successful completion of the assigned project within the budgeted time and cost constraints. Keep all related project documentation well controlled. Take the ownership for the product release and revision of drawings for new or existing product lines.
7.Responsible for appropriate prototype testing and evaluation. Follow up with necessary corrective action for improvement. Ensure product meets the reliability, quality and performance requirements per industry standards.
8.Effective communication and cross functional teamwork with Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer and Tooling Engineer. Must be a strong team player.
9.Collaborate with and keep supervisor/manager regularly informed on work progress, cost, risk and scope redirection needs.



QUALIFICATIONS:

1.A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required with a minimum 5 years Engineering experience.
2.Must be capable of 3D modeling using software such as Pro/Engineer. Experience with Pro/Engineer Wildfire is preferred.
3.Knowledge of product design for injection molding and metal stamping.
4.Capable of working with cross functional teams to achieve project objectives in an ISO 9001-2000 environment.
5.Very good English skills, both written and oral.
