Requirement:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related degree or equivalent Technical experience and on the job training
2. Prefer a minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a metal working industry
3. Self-starter with aptitude to learn new skills quickly
4. Experienced in Lean manufacturing concepts and methods to continuously improve the manufacturing process
5. Experience in a metal working manufacturing environment with some process engineering responsibility a plus
6. Proficiency in Solid Works Cad, Esprit Cam packages or equivalent required
7. CNC Programming experience preferred
8. Computer literacy in Office software products
9. Familiarity with fixture and gauge design and use
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
11. Ability to read blueprints
12. Ability to understand and apply Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances
13. Must be willing to learn and apply the latest manufacturing and machine tool technologies and act as a mentor to others
14. Knowledge and experience with SAP
Responsibility:
1 Establish standards for methods, tooling, and process improvements for assembly and machining operations
2 Lead implementation of machining and assembly methodologies.
3 Assure "First Time Builds", work instructions, and training on machine tools and in Assembly
4 Benchmark assembly and machining operations outside of ODS Suzhou and lead the internal implementation of best practices
5 Assist Program Management with aspects of New Part Introductions, Part Transfers, and new machine tool introductions and use
6 Be familiar with all fixture, tools, gauges and their uses in manufacturing
7 Work closely with Tooling Engineers and Process Engineers
8 Provide input to the New Part Process to ensure best standard practices and tools are followed
9 Familiarization and implementation of latest machine tools associated with the business
10 Work with external suppliers and machine tool representatives to develop/validate all manufacturing processes, and obtain assistance as required
11 Validate manufacturing time standards by operation
12 Interact with Factory personnel to solve manufacturing process and tooling related problems
