JOB TITLE: Account Manager - Materials
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
Summary:
The Account Manager is the first direct contact with customers within the whole China area. He/She has to ensure sales plans from China headquarters, as well as from Italy, are achieved in terms of revenue and profit. He/She will learn the specific market segments and then set clear plans on how to achieve business in the China market. He/She will also need to gather, filter, carry on analysis and then provide the sales manager and the company management with true and updated market intelligence, competitors status and opportunities in the market. He/She must demonstrate enthusiasm, good business judgment ability, and team-focused spirit, while embracing a unique passion for business through experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
? Identify business opportunities and customers which meet target profile and develop sales tactics to do sales through these targets.
? Document market intelligence and provide input to the company management for market analysis. Provide forecasting of business based on customer needs and changing requirements.
? Develop sales and placement strategies and tactics that align with company business strategies.
? Responsible for direct follow up of all quotations in his/her territory, pursuing new business closures and communicating internally and develop tactics with internal team to overcome roadblocks and gain new business.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
? Bachelor Degree in any science or engineering fields, preferable related to materials science; lower qualification also consider if candidate other attributes suit the position requirements
? 1~2 years working experience in sales or purchasing position is preferable, more experience is bonus;
? Experience working for MNC companies is preferable, but not a must
? Must be able to communicate in both written English and Chinese
? Must be proficient with MS-Office and Internet applications
Competencies and Personal Characteristics:
? Ability to identify true customer needs, gather and analyze information, and formulate feasible action plans;
? Ability to understand guidelines from Euro headquarters and act locally in China with strong integrity and business ethics;
? People-oriented: ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff and customers;
? Good communication skills with the ability to articulate issues clearly in both Chinese and English;
? Ability to work under pressure and possess "can-do" altitude.
