Electrical Technician Summary:Responsible for installing, servicing and repairing electrical equipment with hand tools, test equipment, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s specifications in a timely, accurate manner by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Installs, diagnoses, services and repairs electrical equipment. Applies knowledge and ability to use hand tools and operate test equipment such as multi-meters, logic analyzers and oscilloscope according to established procedures. Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits and ensures proper operation according to manufacturer’s specifications. Examines electrical equipment during operating cycles to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks and loose, noisy or non-functioning parts. Replaces worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, motors, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, heating elements and defective wiring. Orders additional parts for repairs and schedules return service calls according to the individual parts scheduling report as needed. Maintains appropriate communication with the office to ensure accurate and timely service. Completes and submits service documentation each day as well as recording time on a time sheet to ensure accurate service/ billing information. Analyzes software and adjust parameters to ensure equipment is correct. Returns customer units to original state and cleans up work area prior to leaving each job. Attends and participates in technical meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned. Free shifts. Skills: Written and oral communication skills Math Aptitude Organized and neat Reading skills
