- Job responsibility:
- Provide training and constant support for tool maintenance staff to ensure he/she understands and works following company requirements and specifications
- Prepare training plan for tool maintenance and ensure it’s carried out properly
Conduct regular training at KH Unikun tool suppliers to develop their capabilities and ensure quality of the purchased tools
- Help tool maintenance to analyze the root cause for defective tool or part, and support to solve it
- Do the final acceptance report of the tool after PPAP approval by customer, incl. complete disassembling of the tool and check for wear and damage
- Support for DFM report for new projects and highlight open issues
- Check if supplier tool concepts are acc. company requirements (e.g. machine size, cavity layout, etc.) and tool specification and confirm the concept
- Join trial runs, detect problems and support tool supplier and production in debugging all open issues before the project is transferred to mass production
- Job qualification:
- Qualified toolmaker with certificate comparable to German “Facharbeiterbrief/Craft certificate”
- Familiar with all manufacturing stages (CNC milling, grinding, EDM, heat treatment, fitting, etc.)
- Good knowledge of injection moulds and mold making process, incl. 2K moulds and IML technology
- 8+ years working experience in tooling, preferential in international manufacturing companies
- Fluent German (native) and English language skills, both oral and written, Chinese language skills are an advantage
- Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), must be able to create clean and easy to understand documents
- Familiar with the application of the most common thermoplastics (e.g. ABS, PC, PC/ABS, PA, PBT, etc.)
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to push for improvements
- High flexibility and motivation
- Thorough working attitude
- Willingness to work overtime if necessary
- German is preferred
