This position is based in Beijing

Major Responsibilities

1. Lead, Drive and Manage the Fixed Gas & Flame Detection sales efforts in a professional manner through the development of sales plans that support increased customer sales and market share growth. Develop and implement plans to continuously expand the customer coverage optimizing efficiency and identifying, managing and developing channel partners.

* Daily, weekly and monthly planning of visits.

* Support/lead the execution of order close out’s on significant and strategic project orders, vital to maintaining, growing and expanding the installed FGFD base of the region

* Develop and execute a market penetration strategy; in particular in areas with strong competition and poor market coverage.

* Support the team effort of the other Product Group and Territory Managers on projects, both on a regional and trans-regional basis.

2. Presentations of products, project solutions, proposal discussion and negotiation and product demonstrations

* Presentation of products or project solutions, discussion of proposals and closing of the order

* Proposal follow up

* Work with inside sales and local design institutes (NII) to co-construct a project solution

3. Identify customer’s needs and problems and work with inside sales on project solutions

Identify customer wants, needs and problems and ensure that customer’s requirements are met

* Identify and focus on best customers/segments in terms of profitability and potential

* Identify new customers and partnerships with systems integrators and design institutes (NII)

* Define Best solutions/services with inside sales and service department for target customers/segments identified

* Obtain information and report to sales director on competitor’s activities such as product offerings, prices, sales channels, strategies, etc.

* Work with inside sales and local design institutes (NII) to co-construct a project solution

4. Administration work and reporting

Weekly report about activities with customers (visits, proposals, negotiations, claims, etc.)

* Monthly report on status of major projects

* Collaborate with back office in obtaining administrative documentation for tender preparation

* Monthly report of expenses

* Help the financial department regarding payment problems and conditions from customers

5. Training

* Active participation in training programs organized by the company

* Keep himself updated concerning product and marketing news received from the company

* Keep himself updated on utilization of company’s IT systems


Required Experience:

  1. Self-motivated and proactive in problem solving.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
  4. Sales and client relation, retention and development experience
  5. Coaching/mentoring experience with branch management and leadership development staff
  6. Above 5 years of successful business management experience; previous branch or territory management.
  7. Strategic and entrepreneurial with strong business acumen
