If you are Strategic Procurement Manager , you will have a chance to
Leads a complex individual supply chain sub-category; including data and industry analysis; reports results to senior managers.
May lead an international, cross-functional team
Meets with Stakeholder senior managers to understand business priorities and translate them into supply chain strategies; influence the industry and marketplace within moderately complex marketplace categories.
Develops and utilizes supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools.
Leads Supplier Selection Activities. Drives supply base optimization. Negotiates and completes contracts with complex suppliers
Responsible for day-to-day operations of large, moderately complex suppliers. Partners with suppliers in minor strategic development.
Provides input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operation strategies. Assesses current and evolving business models in the marketplace.
 Identifies challenging contract risk areas. Negotiates acceptable contracting outcomes using known solutions. Advises senior level business leaders on contract
risk areas
Influences a large supply base across multiple business units.
 
Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:
Bachelor's (undergraduate) or Master's (graduate) degree in a technical discipline (e.g. ME engineering preferred, not a MUST-Have) or business related field (MBA)
Typically 10-15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function (Mechanical parts experience is highly preferred). Plus if have in-depth knowledge to NPI and value chain process to support supply chain execution and product launch, application of business principles and concepts, working knowledge of project management processes and tools, experience with product lifecycles, and successful facilitation of work objectives using positive influence and coordination techniques.
 
To be successful you should be:
Advanced understanding of supply chain and procurement processes and strategy.
Excellent understanding of market place and industry supply base and standards.
Advanced ability to partner with supplier in forward-thinking strategic development and relationship building.
Excellent leadership skills, particularly in complex, international, and cross functional teams.
Advanced project and program management skills.
Advanced communication skills, catered to a wide variety of audiences; mastery in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Excellent business acumen and understanding of risk mitigation approaches and contract language usage.
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
